    Today, we are talking about the Rising Sign.  Why?  Because it is Tuesday, which is ruled by Mars.  The Rising Sign or the AC (ascendant) is the first house of the astrology wheel.  The first house is home of the first sign, Aries.  Thus, our AC is strong on this day.

   The first house is all about Self- just like that Aries you know.  It's about personality, looks, and ego.  Not the Leo ego, where you are the leader, and thus, always conscious of what you do/say.  It's that Aries ego, which is all about the raw, instinctual Self.  It is actually the ID of Freud's Structural Model of the Psyche.  The first house is like Aries- it represents assertion, defense, physical appearance, and movement.  It also represents how you present yourSelf.   It is also used to determine your popularity (in conjunction with the 10th house).  

Example- 
**Beyonce Knowles is a Leo rising.  She may seem shy, but truthfully, the song "Ego" is really about her. LOL.  She presents her Self as a person that is an authority and demands recognition.  Interestingly, her Mars sits on the AC line (the line between 12 and 1) on the 1st House side.  Her popularity comes from physical expression- that is her dancing.  She is well known for her movements (although ppl know she can sing; she draws ppl in with her dance).  Her movements are bold and often exaggerated. 


Knowing your AC also gives you insight into the rest of your chart b/c it sets the tone for every other aspect of your life.  If Leo is in your first house, then Virgo is in your 2nd, Libra in your 3rd, etc...

After you discover your AC, look at your 12th House- this will tell you your secret enemies and those things about your Self that you don't notice, but others can see clearly.

Today, the Moon is exalted in the sign of Taurus.  In an exalted position, the planet displays its most favorable attributes.  What does this mean for the Moon, and what does this mean for us?

Personally, I love a Taurus Moon because it balances our emotional energy.  Remember, the Moon is emotions; it rules over the tides of Earth- that refers to this planet Terra, and ourSelves, for in the microcosm of life, we are all planets.  And our emotions represent the tide.  Taurus brings us patiences, calmness, and stability.  And most of us need moor of this in our life.

7/26 is a Holy Degree.  

For one, 7 is our ancient sacred number- it represents the original 7 planets, 7 degrees of a week, 7 chakras, 7 Elohims...

Secondly, there is science behind 26- it is the only number that sits between a squared and cubed number (5²)= 25 and  (3³ )= 27.  Some, including mySelf, call this the Degree of God.  This is a powerful number on its own.  On the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, the Sephiroth of the Middle Pillar are 1 + 6 + 9 + 10 = 26.  26 is the path of Ayin, between Beauty and Splendor.  And the Hebrew sigil for Ayin is  ע which means to watch or to know.  It is the Eye:: it is foresight; it's original symbol (prior to 2,000 BC) looks as such.  Somewhat like the Sun (as seen circa 1,000 BC).

This degree coupled with the 7 is powerful.  Thus, it is no coincidence it only occurs in the zodiacal month of Leo.  Leo is the Sun, which sees over all things, and illuminates that which is hidden, so that we too may see the truth.  


726=V.I.T.R.I.O.L; this is an acronym for the Latin term Visita interiora terrae rectificando invenies occultum lapidem, which translates as Go see the inner Earth; by becoming straight you will come upon the hidden Stone.  

This means to deep within ourSelves (Pluto; Scorpio) and finding the hidden Rock by which we can stand.  That Rock to me symbolizes Law because it is solid and impenetrable.  You cannot debate Law because it is as it stands.  

The inner Earth represents Pluto and Scorpio.  The Law, or the hidden stone is Saturn and Capricorn.   Pluto/Scorpio is deep, intense, powerful, and represents death and regeneration.
Saturn/Capricorn is structure, discipline and represents the law.

Mercury is out of the retrograde- so communication issues, short distance travels, car problems, memory issues, school- all these are beginning to straighten themSelves out.  However, we are still in the shadow until July 31st.  Today is the last day of the strong shadow- what does this means?

A retrograde is when a planet or luminary body appears to be traveling backwards through the sky.  It is actually that planet moving faster than the Earth, but in the same rotation.  Thus, Mercury appears to retrograde when it moves quickly thru the part of its orbit that is closest to the Earth.  Once it reaches the side furtherest from the Earth, apparent retrograde motion begins.  

"Going direct" means that the planet begins to appear to be traveling in the same direction as the Earth- once again.  However, as recorded on an ephemeris (an astrological calendar), the degrees of said planet have been moving backwards; thus, they will have to begin moving forward from the point at which they began moving backwards.  For example, if a planet goes retrograde at 27° Aries and goes direct at 13° Aries, it must reach 27° to be totally out of the effects of the retrograde.  This is called a shadow.  

Right now, we are in the last week of the shadow of Mercury's retrograde.  We are also experiencing Uranus retrograde (as of July 17).  These two energies are partners- Mercury is quick wit and communication, while Uranus is fresh inspiration and insight regarding humanity.  Mercury affected our thinking and the way we relate to others- it gave us a taste of what we about to experience with Uranus.  Uranus is represented as technological advances, innovation, social justice movements, etc...  Aquarius is the Lord of Uranus- we just left an Aquarius Full Moon, and have entered (or are approaching) the Age of Aquarius.  Destruction.  Upheaval; all for the sake of laying the foundation for truth and justice.

     It is an honor to write this blog today.  I write this to send lov n light to my revolutionary SO(U)L siSTAR Assata Olugbala Shakur.  Today is her solar return.  And although she has been exiled to Cuba, I know that there will be a time that she will step again on this landmass (North America).  She is a beautiful starseed moon Goddess, and I hav respect for Her plight, Her struggle, and Her journey.  I am unaware of her knowledge of Moorish Science, but I send her light knowledge and wisdom regarding her Moorish status.  We lov her and wish to see Her truly free

Assata Shakur was born on July 16, 1947 in New York (although she spent most of her childhood between NY and NC).  Thus, her sun is at 23° Cancer- therefore, she has undertones of Pisces as a part of her general character (mystic, spiritual, and dreamer).  Remember, the Sun determine our purpose.  I think stories about her life makes her appear to be moor masculine than she really is.  She taught children and participated in breakfast programs.  What is moor Cancerian than that?  Nurturing children through lov and food are hallmarks of the Cancer Sun.  But what's deeper is that her Moon, Mercury, and Venus placements are all in Cancer.  Remember, Cancer is at home in the Moon.  This givs her deep intuition- she has the ability to access the Galactic Center, where we can interact with the ancestors for guidance and direction.  I am beginning to even think Cancer Moons can talk to children before they are even born.  DEEP indeed.  And she truly cared about her people, another hallmark of the Cancer.  Family was bigger than direct bloodline- we, as Moors (Afrikans or Black ppl) are her tru family. Remember, Cancer is the mother of the zodiac...I say Assata Shakur  is the Mother of Revolution- I suggest all wombmen tap into her Mama Yemoja Energy.  For as I see it, we WOMBMEN hav the ability to bring revolution just through pre-conception education and birthing and raising beautiful and bright Moorish children.  They are coming through READY! And I know that Assata's energy has a lot to do with that.  I will even go as far to say that she could hav a connection with the youths before they are manifested on this Earth Realm.  We hav seen moor of OUR children born with high energy, eyes wide open to the falsities and injustices of society.  And THEY AIN'T HAVIN' IT!  We hav to know how to teach them the truth about their culture, their nationality, about history, and the law.  That is my purpose.  And I know Assata's energy helped to build me to be the person I am today.  

There are other aspects of her chart that I could speak on (sum not-so-good aspects), but this blog is to honor the siSTAR::Happi Solar Return Assata Shakur.  Ur revolutionary, nurturing, and determined spirit has inspired me to do great things in the name of our Nation and our People.  Lov, light, and HoTeP. Grand Trine in effect this week::Jupiter in Cancer (exalted), Saturn in Scorpio, and Neptune in Pisces (at home).  

This brings ease to that particular energy that is being trined.  Remember, a trine is when two planets are 120° apart.  That would place them as having the same element, but different modalities.  

In a Grand Trine, there are planets in all three modalities of one element.  In this case, we have all three water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces).  And they are all at exactly 4°.  This is a perfect trine.  What energy is being projected at this time?

With Jupiter in Cancer, we are prime for receiving blissings from the Creator/Creatress.  You must know where Jupiter transits your chart to fully innerstand the blissings.  Jupiter now is transiting my 11th house, which brings me good fortune with regards to friends and my dreams.  

Saturn in Scorpio is still in affect.  We just left a Saturn retrograde, so we are currently going direct.  Yet, we are still in the shadow of the retrograde, so we can still experience adverse affects.  With Jupiter in Cancer, I think we will experience a bit of calmness in this regard.  Still, you must be working in releasing those deep emotional scars and pains that we hide from, yet affect us everyday.  

With Neptune in Pisces, we are prime to receive gifts in the form of imagination and dreams.  This is a good time to "daydream" about your goals because you are apt to receive fresh insight and inspiration.

    Honors to you all for doing the work to transform and uplift yourSelves.  We all hav what sum may call "inner demons".  And it can be identified in you natal chart by examining the planet Saturn.
    Saturn represents structure and discipline.  It is (grand)Father Time, and presents the areas in which you need to develop Self-Mastery.  Saturn is a slower moving, outer planet; it takes 28-29 yrs to make one revolution.  In other words, you will not see Saturn in the sign under which you were born until you reach between 28-29 yrs old.  This is called a Saturn Return.  It is important to recognize where Saturn is and the type of energy it emits in your natal chart.  
    Today, July 7, 2013, is my Solar Return!  I hav 29 yrs on this planet (this lifetime around).  And thus, my Saturn has returned to it's original location- Scorpio (the energy of deep, inner transformation).  This has been a trying past couple of yrs, because Saturn is in my 3rd house.  So I often sense lower entities attacking my mind.  But through study and discipline (mantras, stretching, diet change) I have learned to redirect these thoughts; it's like I am re-wiring my brain.
   I giv thanks to Universal energies because I hav been led to a lot of knowledge that has helped me on this journey to self-mastery.  Coming into Moorish Science has been one of the greatest things that has happened in my life: mostly because I am learning to discipline my mind and listen.  On my wall, I hav the following mantra: "I am Focused, Listening, and Flowing".  It's not a coincidence that Noble Drew Ali is a Capricorn, which is ruled by Saturn.  Noble Drew Ali brought back the law- and that requires us to be disciplined and work.  Look at your chart to determine where that work will be.  For me, it's in the mind.  And I am grateful for the lessons that hav taught me this.  Honors to the Prophet and to those who put in the work to know themselves.

Today I am going to describe the astrological climate of July 2, 2013, and teach about a couple major aspects that can exist in one's chart.  So without further adieu, let's go in:

ASPECTS

- An aspect is a description of how two planets/luminary bodies interrelate to one another.  This is based on a geometrical measurement.  Since the natal wheel is a circle, planet placements create angles (aka ANGELS) that bear influence on your at the time of your birth.

• Think back to Geometry class.  The natal wheel is divided into 12 houses.  Each house is a total of 30° (30 days per Sun sign).  
• Each planet's placement is at a particular sign and degree.  For example, my Sun sign is 15° Cancer.

• My Moon sign is in Scorpio; therefore, the Sun and Moon create a 120° angle.  The Moon is said to trine my Sun.

           - Trines are harmonious because the signs are of the same element.  A person with many 
            trines in their chart may be lazy because things come easy to them.  This is because they  
            have put in WORK in this area in their past life.  The drawback is that they have difficulty in  
            areas that require extra effort.  

Here are moor examples:

With Sun in Scorpio and their Saturn is in Scorpio, the planets are conjunct.
           Conjunctions are generally harmonious energy,     
            depending on the planets.

• A person's Moon is in Aries, and their Jupiter is in Cancer; this creates a 90° angle between the two planets; this is called a quartile or square.  

           - Squares create tension between two energies; they represent challenge and areas of 
            frustration in your chart.  In this example, the Moon (soul, emotion) is motivated by passion,  
            while Jupiter (benevolence and abundance) is emotion-driven.  Squares bring out the lower 
            energies of that particular sign and/or planet. 

• A person's Sun is in Scorpio and their Mercury is in Taurus, this creates a 180° angle (straight line).  This planets oppose one another. 

          - Oppositions creates a balance between two energies.  Here, the Sun (identify) is focused on 
            inner regeneration, while Mercury (the mind) is focused on building for the exterior by 
            acquiring material goods.  Oppositions represent the areas where you worked to create
            harmony in your past life.  You are here to continue, and your good work has been   
            rewarded with balancing energies.



The closer the degrees are to one another, the stronger the affects of the aspect.  A perfect aspect would have the same degree.

Why is this important?  Today, we experienced squares between the following-

1) Sun square Uranus: (Sun in Cancer, Uranus in Aries)
    - The Sun represents the overall surface energy.  Cancerian energy is nurturing in that we are tending to our ideas in the garden of our minds.  In its lower energies, Cancer manifests as moody and irritable.  It can be 
                                          stagnant due to it's changeable nature.  It can be brooding and akin to an  
                                          overprotective parent, which causes your ideas to suffocate.
                                           - Uranus represents destroying that which is antiquated for preparation of 
                                            new, fresh, and innovative ideas.   I liken Uranus to the Mission of the 
                                            Moors: to UpLift Fallen Humanity.  Uranus is about social uplift (or 
                                            upheaval); in Aries, we feel like initiating a revolution in some sense.  
   
       **The conflict: Uranus is ready to go go go, let's make moves and make change, blow the WHOLE thing UP, while the Sun says- take your time or I will not allow your innovative ideas take root.   So although we feel the urge to start things, we must not force it, but rather nurture and carefully take the proper steps at the proper time.**


2) Sun oppose Pluto: (Pluto in Capricorn)
    - This is a perfect opposition at 10°. This gives us balance.  I like this placement because Pluto, which is our inner psyche (where we hold our past pains that we must release) is being disciplined to really look within and do the work that is required for inner transformation.  By doing this, we can alleviate the brooding and sulking energy that Cancer can bring. 

3) Jupiter trine Neptune (Jupiter in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces)
    - Some relief given to us: we will receive wealth (Jupiter) when we are giving to others.   And that wealth will come in the form of spiritual insight (Neptune at home in Pisces).  This is a good time to consult psychics, oracles, etc...  Also, pay attention to your dreams, which is where you will receive the spiritual insight.  This is a time of creativity, particularly with regards to musik.
